Shomari White has a strong track record of leading non-profit organizations through successful strategic planning and change management to maximize performance and impact.

As a senior operations executive at the Foundations within the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Children’s National in Washington, DC, Shomari played a key role in doubling fundraising totals while overseeing operations management, KPI development, pipeline optimization strategies, technology conversions, and stewardship and donor communications. He has also excelled in recruiting, retaining, and developing top talent within the non-profit sector. At Emory University, he has spearheaded the development of the Advancement and Alumni Engagement strategic plan and served as the executive sponsor for its CRM conversion to Salesforce while overseeing the division’s $64M Budget.

Shomari is the immediate past President of the Association of Advancement Services Professionals (aasp), the leading network for current and aspiring leaders in advancement services who inform strategy and direct operations that empower nonprofit organizations. In 2017, he was honored as the Associate Vice President of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals.

A graduate of Howard University, Shomari earned his MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus. He is committed to his local community, serving as treasurer for the DC Chapter of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) and as a former Fundraising Chair and current member of the Prince George’s County, MD chapter of the 100 Black Men of America
