Joseph Reed is a policy expert focusing on civil rights and equity issues. He serves as the founder and Executive Director of the Center for Local Policy Analysis (CLPA), an organization dedicated to educating residents of the DC metropolitan area on critical local policies, the intricacies of government operations, and the legislative process. CLPA educates DC-area residents on local and state legislation, overlooked government agencies, candidates running for office, and the policymaking process. It also empowers them with the tools and knowledge to advocate for their communities effectively. Additionally, as Director of Government Relations at Rails to Trails Conservancy, Joseph advocates for equitable transportation solutions. With a background in government relations, social science, and data analysis, he has held key roles at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC), the Prince George’s County branch and the national office of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Joseph also serves as vice chair of the Prince George’s County Human Rights Commission.
