
Dr. Marquez Ball – President & Board Chair
Dr. Marquez Ball is a dedicated community leader, educator, veteran, and technology executive with more than a decade of committed service to the 100 Black Men of Prince George’s County, Inc. Since joining the organization in 2015, Dr. Ball has played an instrumental role in advancing its mission to improve the quality of life for African American youth and families through mentoring, education, economic empowerment, and health & wellness.
Over the past ten years, Dr. Ball has served the chapter in multiple key leadership roles—including Board Member at Large, Vice President of Operations, Executive Vice President, and now President and Board Chair as of October 1, 2025. In each capacity, he has strengthened the chapter’s operational effectiveness, expanded community partnerships, and championed a vision focused on ensuring that every mentee is prepared for college, career, and life success.
Professionally, Dr. Ball is the founder and principal of Ballward LLC, a software, SharePoint, and technology solutions firm specializing in digital transformation, automation, and enterprise systems. His background includes extensive experience in program management, federal contracting, organizational leadership, and strategic planning. He has successfully led complex technology initiatives, managed high-impact programs, and built systems that increase efficiency, accessibility, and stakeholder engagement.
A proud veteran of the United States Armed Forces, Dr. Ball brings the values of service, discipline, and integrity to every aspect of his leadership. Throughout his career, he has remained deeply committed to creating pathways of opportunity for underserved communities, leading initiatives that enhance youth development, expand access to scholarships, increase exposure to STEM and entrepreneurship, and strengthen family and community support systems.
As President, Dr. Ball is focused on expanding the chapter’s reach; strengthening partnerships with government, corporate, and academic institutions; and ensuring that the 100 Black Men of Prince George’s County continues to be a leading force for mentorship, empowerment, and transformative community impact.
Dr. Ball’s leadership reflects his core belief: “What They See Is What They’ll Be™.” He remains dedicated to building a generation of confident, capable, and prepared young people who can thrive academically, socially, and professionally.
